A stopover in Fiji is a great way to break up the long journey over the Pacific Ocean. It also allows you to see and enjoy the stunning South-Pacific islands – with glorious sunsets, and endless opportunities for relaxation. 2 days in Nadi as a layover can be added to your Fiji Airways ticket with ease, which adds to their economy, as well as giving the island a chance to charm you back!
Disclaimer: We were hosted on some activities, however, as always – all opinions are my own.

There were also cultural activities available at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort where we stayed during our layover in Fiji. These included hands on activities such as cooking classes, hula skirt making, kava tasting, basket weaving and more.
Each night the warriors presented a show called meet the warriors. These performances included singing and fire dancing and were performed daily at sunset.

Sigatoka River Safari
The Sigatoka River Safari was by far one of the most moving and inspirational experiences we have ever had. Not only do you get to see amazing landscapes, but you get to learn from one of the remote villages along the way. It was an honour learning from the villagers. The jet boat tour was great fun too!
Big Bula Waterpark
Big Bula Waterpark is located in the heart of Denarau Island just across from the Sheraton. This waterpark is home to giant slides, big surfing waves, obstacle courses and the worlds largest inflatable waterpark. While there are thrill seeking rides for the whole family there is dedicated area for the younger ones too.
