Looking for a hotel in Chicago that is within close proximity to attractions and sights? Has “Instagram worthy” views? Provides dining options to save time in the early mornings and late nights? Is comfortable and spacious enough for couples and families? There are plenty of hotel options, but I am happy to say that I think we chose the best place to stay in Chicago when we picked Loews Hotel, and here’s why…
Disclaimer: We were hosted by Loews on one of our two visits. However, as always, all opinions are my own.

Loews Hotel Chicago
The Room
Our suite was large and clean, and great for families. It was perfect for the three of us. What really made the rooms at Loews shine was the view…

The View
The moment we walked in the room, the views overlooking Navy Pier blew us away. It was also Payton’s first glimpse of Lake Michigan, so we were thankful for the fantastic vantage point.

Public Spaces
The lobby space is large and open while also remaining warm and inviting. There is a large fireplace that was perfect for the cold weather outside. There is also a variety of seating provided from tables and chairs for those on business trips and comfy lounging for those of us there to relax. The lobby also includes a bar area and the entrance to ETA, the full service restaurant on site. We spent some time chilling in the lobby before leaving for our dinner at SafeHouse.

Where to dine at Loews Chicago
Streeterville Social Rooftop Bar & Restaurant
You must make time to enjoy Streeterville Social, the rooftop restaurant at Loews. There are tables and chairs and also plush couches to choose from along with seating at the bar. The bar snacks and platters are incredible – we had the cheese board, the olives and the sticky wings. It was nearly a whole meal in itself!

ETA
ETA is Loews in-house restaurant, and every experience we have had here has been great. From delicious salads, to steak and pasta for dinner, and a full service breakfast menu. The menu items are elevated but hearty. I loved finding one of my favorite quotes, that I use often as a travel blogger, next to our table as we dined at ETA.
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page”
St Augustine

Food and food tours are important to us on our travels – how about you?

We enjoyed the speciality Christmas drinks during our winter visit – with cocktails for the adults such as Getting Toasted (Malibu, Frangelico, and topped with toasted coconut and marshmallows); and for the kids, Do It for the Graham (topped with toasted marshmallow and graham cracker crumble).

Why is Loews Hotel the best place to stay in Chicago?
Loews Hotel was a large part of why we enjoyed Chicago so much. The staff, the views, the food, the hospitality, the location, and the perfect accommodations were exactly what we needed during our visit. If you are visiting Chicago, I really recommend that you consider them for your stay. I have no doubt that you will enjoy your time there as much as we did. This was our first experience staying at a Loews Hotel in any city, but I have no doubt that it will not be our last.

Looks like you had a great stay! I love coming back to my room and finding treats like cookies and milk or popcorn. Small gestures that make me very excited. I’ll take a look at Loew’s for my trip. I have already booked a different hotel but may consider changing it based on your glowing recommendation here. I’ve never stayed at a Loew’s hotel before.
It was our first time at any Loews, but it won’t be our last! We loved it!
Wow that view is to die for! I would especially love sitting by that fireplace 🙂
